Game 23. LA Angels vs NY Yankees. Final Score: 10-9 Yankees.

The Yankees scored six runs after the seventh inning tonight to beat the Angels 10-9. This is significant, not just because it was a nice uplifting walk-off win, but because they won when trailing by five runs after the seventh inning. For an offense that has some holes on paper, each time they pound out a clutch hit or claw their way back from a deficit, the confidence of the team, and especially the offense, grows. The confidence of the starting pitchers grows, too, knowing they don't have to be perfect. Let's take a look at some important numbers:

Melky Cabrera: Coming into this game, Melky was hitting .333/.400/.600 as a starter.
Mark Teixeira: On pace to draw 144 walks
Robinson Cano: A .270/.313/.392 April hitter in his career. He was .366/.400/.581 this April.

Hitting Streak Watch
Melky Cabrera: 6 games
Robinson Cano: 18 games
Hideki Matsui: 11 games

Up next: CC Sabathia (4.73) vs. Matt Palmer (6.00)

Great job tonight with the liveblog and wrap-up! You should do it more often, if possible.
